York Beach is a charming seaside town 45 minutes south of Portland. It's a popular tourist destination (especially at the end of September, which is the start of leaf-peeping season) so we encourage our guests to make travel arrangements early. Here are several places we have visited and can recommend; they all have parking onsite.
The Union Bluff Hotel
8 Beach St., York Beach, Maine
This is the reception site, and it's an easy walk to the church. Several members of the wedding party will be staying here. Many rooms have ocean views; some have private balconies with ocean views. Some rooms with 2 queens have a partition between the two beds, providing a bit of privacy if two couples want to share one room. Some rooms have 2 queens plus a sofabed. There is a bar and restaurant downstairs. AAA gives it three diamonds.

Directions to the Union Bluff
The Sands by the Sea Motel
15 Ocean Ave, York Beach, Maine
This motel is just across from Short Sands Beach, within easy walking distance of the church and reception site. Beds are packed in pretty tight in these rather small rooms, and they aren't as elegant as at the Union Bluff, but it's clean, and most rooms have ocean views. Some suites have kitchenettes and spare beds for children.
Price range: $89-189 per night; no minimum stay.

The Cutty Sark Motel
58 Long Beach Avenue (1A), York Beach, Maine
This motel is on the water, at the northern end of Long Sands Beach, less than 1 mile from the reception site. All rooms have large picture windows facing the water. The more expensive "staterooms" are more recently built and a bit nicer.
Price range: $100-180 per night; 2-night minimum stay.

 The Inn at Long Sands
123 Long Beach Avenue (1A), York Beach, Maine
This cute bed & breakfast is just across from Long Sands Beach, less than 1 mile from the reception site. Its eight rooms all have porches facing the water, and there's a restaurant downstairs.
Price range: $165-190 per night; no minimum stay.

The Anchorage Inn
265 Long Beach Avenue (1A), York Beach, Maine
This family-friendly establishment is just across from the southern end of Long Sands Beach, about 1.5 miles from the reception site. It has two indoor pools, one outdoor pool, and a poolside cafe. There's a restaurant across the street. The rooms are basic, but they offer a variety of suites, including "family rooms" that have one adult bed plus as an alcove with bunk beds or additional beds. AAA gives it two diamonds.
