Nubble Lighthouse
This picturesque 1879 lighthouse is about 1.5 miles from the Union Bluff Hotel.

Short Sands Beach & Long Sands Beach
In late September, these beaches are a popular place for a stroll, but we can't promise that the water will be warm enough for swimming; there are no lifeguards on duty past Labor Day.

Old York Historical Society
The society offers tours of an 18th-century jail, tavern, schoolhouse, and several homes in nearby York Village; 207.363.4974

Kittery Outlet Malls
There are about 65 outlet stores along Route One, ten miles south of York Beach.  It includes The Kittery Trading Post, a large outdoor-sports superstore; 888.587.6246

Portsmouth Ballroom

Strawbery Banke Museum
Jessica was working here when we first met.  This fascinating open air museum shows the changes in a diverse waterfront neighborhood from the 1600s through the 1950s; 603.433.1100
