November 18, 2007 - Thank you!

Thank you to our family and friends for their love and warm wishes!  Memories of the ceremony and celebration continue to give us lots of "warm fuzzies;" the whole event was even more wonderful and magical that we could have imagined.  We're very grateful to everyone who joined in the celebration, both in body and in spirit. 

You can see a few photos taken by our family and friends on our photos page.  The photos by our professional photographer, Jeremy Heflin, will be on view at Pictage through February 2, 2007.  You'll need to sign in with an email address, but then you can change your personal preferences so they won't send you email or share your email address.

August 30, 2007 - Dance Lesson Location

We have a great site for the dance lesson – The York Beach Fire Department! The station is halfway between the Union Bluff/Meeting House and the YBC Church (across from the York Animal Kingdom). The lesson will run from 10:30 – 12:30 and will cover beginner swing and a basic social dance called "The Blues". Peggy Elfe, owner of the Portsmouth Ballroom, will teach with assistance from Jessica and Robert.

Bagels and coffee will be served.

The lesson is meant to be fun – NO pressure. I've hear some of you are getting anxious about all this talk of dancing...

What was once a hole in the ground is now a glorious reception center! The Meeting House hosted its first wedding on Saturday, August 18. Jessica and I "crashed the wedding" and from our vantage point, outside on the patio, it looked like a great success.

August 2007

Construction at the reception site is very nearly complete.  The hotel rooms on the second floor are already occupied, and a wedding reception will take place in the hall on August 18.  The building looks great, and we're looking forward to the wedding!

July 2007

We're making a lot of progress sorting out the details of the event and assembling the invitations.  We sure are looking forward to the big day!  

Meanwhile, construction of the reception site continues to look promising.  The exterior looks nearly finished, and they are installing lighting fixtures and trim on the interior.  For current photos, see The Union Bluff's website.
