Driving Directions
From Interstate 280:
Take the El Monte Road turnoff and head east towards the bay.
Turn left at University Avenue, which is the last signal before the Foothill Expressway intersection. Continue on University Avenue for about a half mile until you see a small wooden sign on the left that says "Shoup Park."
Turn left by the sign onto the small driveway that leads downhill to the park. The Garden House is located at the end of the parking lot.
 From Highway 101:
Take the San Antonio Road exit and head west toward the foothills.
Continue on San Antonio Road until you reach downtown Los Altos.
Make a right turn onto Main Street (this is a three-way intersection; if you make a sharp right turn you will be on Edith Avenue).
Continue through the downtown area and cross the Foothill Expressway.
Turn left just after Foothill Expressway onto University Avenue. Continue for about 100 yards until you see a small wooden sign on the right that says "Shoup Park."

There are no hotels in central Los Altos. The closest hotels and motels are near the intersection of San Antonio Road and El Camino Real in Mountain View and Palo Alto. Along El Camino Real one can find everything from Motel 6 to luxury hotels. Beyond the immediate area, there are numerous hotels in the San Jose/Silicon Valley neighborhood.
